On Words

A Poem

Speak and say and sing and sigh and cease to stay silent
Keys and cars and bars and parks and lights and darks and bison
Here I am Lord speaking words words from my tongue words
Thank you Lord thank you for words for all of them tiny and mighty
Teach me to sing teach me to dance my words teach me to love your language
Fill me with thoughts good thoughts from up above fill me with your Spirit guide me
Let me breathe in and deeply inhale the words you gave to me in the Bible
All of the words all of the sounds all of the meaning you made mine
Open my eyes open my mind open my soul plant your Word inside
Cease all disease cease all decay cease all death and all dismay
Break the bonds break the powers break the dark and break the cowardice
Speak one word Lord speak one sound speak Lord and all will be well
Hear my words and read my words I speak and say what was yours anyway
